Hot Cut Blades
Carolina Knife Co. manufacture hot cut blades and assembly for converting textile products. The hot cut unit consists of a holder and a hot-cut element or blade that operates at up to 1500 degrees F. The element is replaceable.
This enables a woven or non-woven product to be cut and sealed in one operation. This style of converting can be more cost effective than Ultrasonic slitting when edge fraying or unraveling is of primary concern.
