Guillotine Paper Cutter

A guillotine paper cutter is made to slice cleanly through large stacks of paper in one smooth motion. Called guillotine cutters because they have straight blades that fall on their targets from above (just like the execution machine used during the French Revolution). Non-industrial guillotines are found in classrooms and art studios all over the world. These cutters also have numerous industrial uses. Any business that needs to cut through large stacks of paper on a frequent basis can use a guillotine cutter.

A guillotine cutter is operated by placing the paper to be sliced directly under the blade. There is often a flat surface attached to the cutter and located underneath the blade. The surface is used to position the paper correctly. Once the paper is in place, the blade is deployed. This is done by releasing the blade or driving downward from above. The larger and heavier the blade, the thicker the stack it will cut.
