Lamb-Grays Harbor Sheeter Knives
The Lamb-Grays Harbor sheeting machines are used in the production of pulp throughout the United States paper industry. These sheeters can be up to 240 inches or more in length and need to be manufactured to close tolerances in order to perform properly.
Carolina Knife Co. can sharpen these cutters to like new tolerances in 2 to 3 days after receipt of the parts for service. All the Lamb Grays sheeter blades are manufactured from an inlay material that enables straightening of the knife if it happens to bow during use. This is performed on a arbor press and is a standard part of the process at Carolina Knife Co.
All of the inlay is manufactured from M-2 and T-1 high speed material and ground to the highest tolerances. All the Lambs Gray sheeter knives are drilled to the highest quality tolerance hole patterns and thoroughly checked for accuracy. Many times these type blades are drilled in jigs that duplicate hole patterns to perfection.
