Textile Cutters

Textile cutting needs vary greatly according to the type of material with which you are working. Categories of textile cutting instruments include score slitter blades, shear and rotary cutter blades, multi grooves, hot cut blades and custom blades. At Carolina Knife Co., we manufacture and service a range of cutters for both woven and non-woven textiles.

We make score-slitting blades for paper, film, non-woven and textile converting equipment. Our score-slitting and rotary cutters are available in 52100 or D-2 steel and through hardened for maximum wear, or you can choose carbide cutters to maximize blade life in between sharpening. We manufacture all of our products in the United States, so they are in stock when you order.

Finding a Specialty Textile Cutter

There is no "one size fits all" textile blade. Though we make blades for a wide range of textile converters, including Arrow, Ashton, Cameron, Didde-Graphics, Dusenbury, Johnstone and Schreiber, we also handle a large volume of custom orders. Whatever your cutting requirements, we will sit down with you to determine the right materials and cutting edge for your blade, then make it to order in our domestic facilities for a quick turnaround.

A hot cut blade allows textiles to be cut and sealed in one unified operation. Carolina Knife Co. offers hot cut assemblies in three sizes: 90, 120 and 140 watts. The hot cut element can operate at up to 1,500 degrees Fahrenheit and is completely replaceable, offering a cost effective alternative to Ultrasonic slitting.
